Born: 1995 Gender: Female Case History: She is a street Child. We do not know anything of her parents. She was rescued from the street when she was very young and the parents cannot be traced.

Born: 1995 Gender: Male Case History: When his parents died he, his brother and sister were left under the care of their old grandmother. she could not take care of them adequately to to limited resources and he and his brother resulted to running away. his sister was brought to Huruma and they were later found at Kibera and reunited with their sister, Alice Wanjiku.

Geoffrey Muleshi
Born: 1995 Gender: Male Case History: Geoffrey's parents died and none of the relatives were able to help them, they were referred by their step sister who works as a maid.

Gladys Wanjiru
Born: 1998 Gender: Female Case History: Her mother passed away and she was a single mother in the year 2007 and she was left under the care of her aged grandmother who is unable to take care of her and she was referred to the home by her biological aunt.

Godfrey
Born: 2006 Gender: Male Case History: The above juvenile was collected by a good Samaritan at Bulbul area on the 3rd of April 2008 whereby he was found standing alone for a long time. He was taken to the police station that later referred him to Huruma. The office in charge who brought him was Faith Jesse.

Hannah Wangui
Born: 1996 Gender: Female Case History: Hannah is the last born in her family. She is an orphan. She lost both her parents to HIV/AIDS. The auntie who was taking care of them came to Huruma to seek a vacancy in the home. The first day she was feeling lonely and wondering why they were left by their Auntie but later she was able to settle.

Ibrahim Waweru
Born: 1997 Gender: Male Case History: After the death of the mother the grandmother took the responsibility of taking care of the child. She lives in the slum. She is now unable to take care of the child due to old age. The sister requested for a vacancy in the home for the child.

Isaac Njenga
Born: 2002 Gender: Male Case History: The biological parents passed away and her and the other nine siblings were left under the care of their elder brother who also has a family of his own. Due to the fact he is unable economically they were referred to Huruma and they were admitted to the Home.

Isaac Wainaina
Born: 1995 Gender: Male Case History: Both parents died of HIV/AIDS and relatives refused to stay with them fearing contracting HIV. Two of his siblings were taken to another orphanage and Isaac and two sisters joined our home on May 2002. We negotiated with the other home so that we could bring the children together to live as a family as the youngest was so heart broken by the separation. All five are now living at Huruma.

Jackline Wanjiku
Born: 1991 Gender: Female Case History: Jackline Wanjiku is an AIDS orphan. She was referred to us by the community since her mother was married to a very old man as a second wife and the step brothers refused to take any responsibility of the child.

Jackline Wanjiru
Born: 1991 Gender: Female Case History: She was born in Korogocho, one of the slum areas in Kenya and both parents were drunkards and due to this background, she was introduced to the street life at a very early age. Later due to the President's initiative that all street children to vacate the streets, she went to Korogocho and was rescued by Pendekezo who rehabilitated her and asked for placement at Huruma and she later came.

James Njuguna
Born: 2002 Gender: Male Case History: James was abandoned in Bulbul, Ngong by his mother. He was later taken to police and brought to Huruma. He was later taken into foster care in Nuu, Mwingi but later, his foster Mother brought him back to the Home.

Jane Grace Wanjiru
Born: 2007 Gender: Female Case History: Baby grace was abandoned at Ngong Area and she was taken to the Ngong Police Station who then referred her to the Home on the 13th of December 2007. She came into the Home when she was approximately three months old.

Jane Ndunge
Born: 1996 Gender: Female Case History: The sister was already in Huruma after been rescued from child labour. There was no one who could take care of her thus the need to ask for assistance from Huruma. Since they are orphans there was no reason to turn down the request.

Jane Wairimu
Born: 1992 Gender: Female Case History: Their biological mother died of HIV aids and left her and her other siblings under the care of their grandmother who is too old to take care of them. due to this incapacity, the children were referred to the home by her.
